PRESIDENT INAUGURATES TWO INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECTS IN MEDAN

Jakarta Forum - Medan,N Sumatra, Jan 26 - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono inaugurated the Amplas flyover and flood canal projects in Medan, North Sumatra, on Tuesday.

The infrastructure projects were inaugurated by the president at a ceremony at the Mertapada Toll Road gate in Cirebon, West Java, during which he also dedicated five infrastructure projects in other provinces.

The flood canal project in Medan was built at a cost of Rp818 billion taken from the state budget while the Amplas flyover was built at a cost of Rp124 billion.

In the meantime, the other five infrastructure projects were the Oerip Sumohardjo flyover in South Sulawesi, the Benel reservoir in Bali, the Cilaki bridge in West Java and a number of drinking water facilities and flat-for-rent (Rusunawa) projects in West Java and Central Java. The total amount of funds spent on the projects was Rp3.5 trillion.
