Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Indonesia, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, and the Philippines have agreed to set up an Asia Pacific Corporate Counsel Alliance (APCCA).

They reached the agreement on the sidelines of the annual conference of regional internal corporate counsel association held in Jakarta on Thursday.

Chief of All-Indonesia Internal Corporate Counsel Association (ICCA) Reza Topobroto said APCCA aimed to improve legal and business communities` knowledge of internal corporate counsels` role.

"The alliance aim to enhance cooperation among internal corporate counsels in its member states," he said.

In line with the growing challenge of globalization, cooperation among internal corporate counsel associations was very important due to the higher number of companies having cross border business networks, he said. (*)
