Global Mobile Support Representative
The Role
Bloomberg is looking for a Wireless Mobile Support Engineer to join our Global Technical Support department. The candidate will work directly and in conjunction with other support groups (Global Technical Support, Analytics, Customer Account Management Support, Software Quality Assurance, R&D Mobile, Analytics and Installations) to identify/resolve escalated & routine issues with the Bloomberg Mobile products. You will work with our Research and Development team to collect/study log files and identify patterns in problems reported by customers to help resolve chronic end user problems. You will also work with our customers to configure BlackBerry Enterprise Server to deploy the Bloomberg Mobile application for Bloomberg Anywhere users. Responsibilities will also include developing and delivering technical wireless product training and assisting in customizing policies to optimize the end user experience for Enterprise users. Additionally, you will be responsible for preparing and updating internal/external documentation & video training material regarding technical details & specification, functionality and other FAQs for all Bloomberg subscription products. This includes platforms by RIM, Apple, Microsoft, Nokia and Google. Documentation should cover the Bloomberg Mobile application as well as vendor platforms (with relevance to Bloomberg Mobile). Other responsibilities include working with internal teams to test for new device and server platforms & configurations. Candidate will also be responsible for Business Planning and Execution.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS required. Preferably in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field.
- Candidate must be proficient with various Mobile platforms including Apple iOS, Android, BlackBerry and Windows Mobile.
- Experience working with BlackBerry Enterprise Server environments a must including the ability to configure custom IT Policy and deploy 3rd party applications using BES 4.x and 5.x.
- Experience with preparing PowerPoint presentations and help documentation a plus.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain a professional demeanor when handling complex user issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. Candidate will be speaking with internal and external customers on a regular basis.
- Multi-tasking skills and ability to work well under pressure.
- Fluency in Cantonese and Mandarin is a must
