BREAKING: Plane at Philadelphia airport evacuated over unspecified threat, FBI notified

PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- Passengers have been removed from a US Airways plane at Philadelphia International Airport for what police and airport authorities call an unspecified threat.

Airport spokeswoman Victoria Lupica (loo-PEE'-kah) tells The Associated Press passengers were taken off the plane Friday and it was being moved away from Terminal A so it could be inspected.

She doesn't know what the threat is. She says the incident has been referred to the FBI.

The FBI hasn't commented on the nature of the threat or what steps it's taking in investigating the plane.

Terminal A services flights headed abroad and in the U.S. including airlines Lufthansa, British Airways, US Airways, Air Jamaica and Frontier.

Tempe, Ariz.-based US Airways Inc. hasn't commented.
