Parents of wanted terrorist suspect Achmad Yosepa say they believe the alleged suicide bomber involved in an attack on the GBIS church in Surakarta, Central Java, was their son.
The attack occurred on Sunday, the blast killing the bomber and injuring more than a dozen church visitors.

“I’ve seen photos [of the dead victim] in the media. I am convinced, 90 percent, he was my son,” Achmad’s father, M. Daud Turani, said in Cirebon, West Java, on Monday as quoted by tempointeraktif.com.
Daud added that he had heard police had questioned Achmad’s wife and child regarding the Surakarta bombing.

However, neither Daud nor his wife Hindun were summoned.
Daud said he hadn’t seen Achmad for quite some time.

Police earlier said they were conducting a DNA test to confirm the identity of the Surakarta bomber.

National Police deputy spokesman Sr. Comr. Boy Rafli Amar declined to comment on the identity of the bomb victim, but said he was already on the police wanted list for his alleged role in the Cirebon bombing earlier this year.

Police said they would reveal the identity of the bomber in a press conference at the National Police headquarters at 10.30 a.m. on Tuesday.
