Police identify Surakarta church bomber

PThe police have identified the suicide bomber attacking the GBIS church in Surakarta, Central Java, on Sunday, which killed one person -believed to be the bomber himself- and injured more than a dozen of others.
National Police chief Gen. Timur Pradopo said the police would announce the identity of the bomber on Tuesday after confirming it with a DNA test.
“We’re still waiting for the lab results of the DNA test. Hopefully tomorrow we’ll be able to announce [the bomber’s identity] to the public,” Timor said in Sentul, West Java, on Monday, as quoted by kompas.com.
President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono earlier said on Sunday, after a Cabinet meeting held shortly after the bombing, that the Surakarta bomber was linked to a terrorist network whose members include the suicide bomber attacking a police compound in Cirebon, West Java, earlier this year.
