Hundreds of people has begun coming to Hotel Indonesia traffic circle in Central Jakarta, one of the main locations where massive rallies will be held to commemorate the International Anti-Corruption Day.

Antara state news agency reported that the people claimed they come from groups including the Anti-Corruption Movement (Gebrak), Care Nation Movement and Indonesian college student bodies association (BEMSI).

College student were seen wearing their university jackets of various colors.

Hundreds of police and military officers have been deployed to guard the event. Jakarta Police Deputy Chief Adj. Sr. Comr. Rifly said that the police deployed 279 officers at the traffic circle.

Antara reported that other groups of people will also hold anti-graft rally in other place today.

The United Indonesia Movement (GIB) and the Civil Anti-Corruption Coalition (Kompak) groups. plans to gather thousands of people at the National Monument in Central Jakarta and later hold marches to various places across the city in the afternoon.
